Conventional rotary dryers generally suffer sealing defects, with air leakage easily occurring at both cylinder ends and flange joints.
The semi-open cylinder structure allows malodorous gases including ammonia and hydrogen sulphide to escape directly into workshops and plant areas, drifting downwind to neighbouring villages and frequently triggering resident complaints.
Chicken manure tumbles for a long time inside the cylinder, and continuous high-temperature fermentation releases persistent odours. Material caked on cylinder walls forms permanent odour sources. Workshops are filled with dust and become breeding grounds for insects.
Tail-gas treatment is limited to basic dust removal without dedicated deodorisation units, making stable compliance of exhaust indicators difficult and lowering EIA acceptance chances. Even projects that barely go into production operate under constant environmental inspection risks.

An induced draft fan maintains stable negative pressure inside the system, where internal pressure stays lower than atmospheric pressure. Odour and dust are drawn into the exhaust pipeline instead of leaking out into workshops. Wet chicken manure enters the main unit via a sealed screw conveyor with zero exposure to ambient air.
